Carl Devlin has become the first appointment to Capita
Symonds’ new Programme Delivery team.
Carl, who joins the company from Laing O’Rourke where he was
Director of Work Winning, will be Director of Programme Management
within the new team which aims to contribute 40% to Capita Symonds’
bottom line by 2013.
We are in the process of building a world class line-up of top talent that will be the final key in ensuring that we win the largest bids both at home and abroad.
The announcement is the first in a series of major appointments
which will be made by Capita Symonds over the coming months.
Jonathan Goring, Capita Symonds’ Managing
Director, said: “We learned a huge amount from reaching the
shortlist of Programme Delivery contracts for both London 2012 and
Crossrail. Nevertheless, we are in the process of building a world
class line-up of top talent that will be the final key in ensuring
that we win the largest bids both at home and abroad. Carl’s
appointment, and that of the wider Programme Delivery team, will
support our burgeoning programme workload while also bolstering our
approach to the biggest opportunities in UK Government and
overseas.”
“Carl’s ability to cope with complex and variable challenges are
widely acknowledged. He has a proven track record of delivering
complex projects across a variety of sectors and will play a key
role in taking Capita Symonds to the next level,” he adds.
Carl Devlin said: “I am delighted to be joining the team at
Capita Symonds and look forward to working with them to deliver
excellent services and solutions for our clients both in the UK and
around the world.”
Carl has over 18 years experience in leading and delivering the
design and construction of large complex projects in the civil and
railway infrastructure environments as well as buildings and
facilities environments. The majority of his experience is in the
London area on significant major transport infrastructure
programmes such as Heathrow Terminal 5, the Channel Tunnel Rail
Link and the Stratford City Development. He was also Project
Director for Laing O’Rourke’s bid to become Crossrail’s Programme
Delivery Partner.
